Child and Family Therapist
(Part Time/Job Share, Potential Full Time)
Provide mental health clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children who have experienced abuse, as well as support for their non-offending family members.
Essential job requirements
Provide mental health intake and assessments for Wally’s House clients. ● Develop treatment plans and provide trauma-focused evidence-based therapy to children and adolescents. ● Engage families and/or caregivers as active members of the trauma treatment process. Coordinate with other professionals to work towards the child’s best interest emotionally, physically, and educationally. ● Provide crisis intervention when appropriate. ● Facilitate therapeutic groups for youth and non-offending parents. ● Follow evidence-based therapy modalities to fidelity. ● Lead and participate in peer review and peer consultation. ● Work with therapists and organizations that Wally’s House has linkage agreements with, both urban and rural, to ensure that prompt, high-quality care is accessible to Wally’s House clients throughout Curry County. ● Participate in ongoing education and conferences; stay current on evidence-based treatment models and practices; ensure mental health programming meets National Children’s Alliance Standards for Accredited Members. ● Build and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with community partners. ● Provide and promote management and clinical expertise in multidisciplinary team meetings and policy development. ● Provide professional training, as needed, within the context of Wally’s House’s training and technical assistance services. Implement and coordinate special projects as needed. ● Provide input and data for organizational reports and grant documents. ● Testify in court as necessary. ● Participate in the evaluation of individual and team functioning, actively works towards team goals and objectives. ● Follow Wally’s House policies, procedures, and protocols. ● Uphold Wally’s House mission, vision, and values. ● Accountable to HIPAA standards (or more stringent standards set forth by state law or as developed by Wally’s House) for client privacy and confidentiality. Prevention Specialist
(Part Time)
Working at the community level to support the coordination, implementation, and facilitation of child abuse prevention programs in Curry County.
Essential job requirements
Community relations, outreach, coordination, and facilitation related to Wally’s House prevention programs, specifically the Darkness to Light: Stewards of Children training in Curry County, the Pinwheel Campaign to Prevent Child Abuse, and supporting the Center’s general prevention efforts as needed. ● Recruit, coordinate, and support local volunteers to serve as trainers for Darkness to Light’s Stewards of Children training. ● Increase the capacity of local communities to educate parents and other adults on ways to recognize and prevent child abuse by building community education and local trainer assets. ● Facilitation/instruction of Wally’s House prevention training. ● Regular communication and active support with prevention training facilitators andvolunteers, when necessary. ● Supportplanning and implementation of annual Pinwheel Campaign and/or another Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Campaign. ● Responsible for data entry for Prevention and Education training. ● Represent Wally’s House at community outreach events. ● Other Prevention and Education Program project coordination and support as needed.

Administrative Assistant
(Part Time)
Oversee the day-to-day functions of the organization by providing administrative assistance, managing Human Resources, and providing bookkeeping services.
Essential job requirements
Answering telephone, direct, screen calls, taking and relaying messages. ● Provide information to callers, greet persons entering the organization and direct individuals to appropriate destinations. ● Providing general clerical and administrative support to all levels of professionals. Preparing letters and documents, receiving and sorting deliveries. ● Ensuring that common areas in office premises are equipped with required office supplies as appropriate. ● Pick up mail at the post office. Sort, follow mail protocol for archiving and distribute mail and deliveries to appropriate staff members. ● Assist with meeting planning and logistics, set-up and breakdown as needed. ● Support development efforts by providing data entry, managing in-kind donations and other tasks as needed. ● Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, partners, and outside vendors. ● Create, format, and update documents, including letters, memos, status reports, presentations, spreadsheets, internal staff lists, and other related documents. ● Manage donor and volunteer records, and Board documents, etc. ● Manage therapy appointments and schedule for center therapists. ● Assist all staff with maintaining the cleanliness of the building. ● Assist with projects as needed. ● Assist with Bookkeeping services, cash receipt process. ● Create a safe environment and engage in developmentally sensitive, culturally respectful interactions with children and families. ● All other duties as assigned.
